What is this?? An update?? *Gasp* Shocker!!

Hallo all!!

So it's about time for an update. A lot has happened since my last update, so it's definitely time for me to write about it.

For starters, I moved out. I now live in a two bedroom apartment on St Clair and Yonge with my roommate, Benny. It's an awesome apartment!! It's pretty big (1150 sq ft) and my bedroom is a nice size. It has one and a half bathrooms, living room, dining room, breakfast area in the kitchen, and a nice sized storage closet. I'm not gonna lie, I fell in love with it when I saw it. It was definitely more than I wanted to pay, but it's worth it. We moved in October 2nd. It's right above a Sobey's, so at least we can get whatever we need at any time. But sadly, there's not No Frills or Food Basics near by, so it's kinda expensive. But I do live in a nice area. It's just outside of the downtown core, which means I still have access to all the downtown places and downtown events, but it's relatively quiet and nice where I am. Also, I have an incredible amount of park, cemetary, and greenery around me. I'm super happy with it.

But I love my place. I'll have to take some pictures and post them on here for those that keep asking. Or you can all come visit me and see it in person!!

So, work. I'm unemployed. Again. I'm not sure why I can't just seem to stay soemwhere for a long time, but apparenlty I can't. So at the moment, it's quite the struggle to make all my payments with whatever I had saved and whatever EI is giving me. I'm not gonna lie, it's super hard. It sucks that they waited until I'd moved to let me know instead of telling me the day before. I wouldn't have signed the lease if I'd known. So now I'm sending out resumes as much as I can, to any office job out there. I think this weekend I'll work on a more retail-oriented resume and go hand some out at the mall. They're hiring for Christmas, and I need money, so any job is good about now. Except with food. I don't want to work at Wendy's or Subway. Maybe as a waitress, but I doubt I'll apply at any restaurants.

So on to happier topics. I went on vacation to Tobermory at the beginning of September. Matt and I rented a cottage for the week. We left friday morning, and my mom and Nelson joined us. They left Monday morning, and me and Matt stayed until Saturday morning. It was awesome. We did a lot of hiking, and relaxing, and reading. I've discovered that my kind of hiking is the one that involves climbing up and down the rocks and isn't on flat land. But it was gorgeous. Tobermory is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful places. I was incredibly sad to come home. But it was a good week, and I'm super glad me and Matt went.

Also, I'm friends with Robin again. I'm not gonna lie, I'd forgotten how much fun she could be. And I'm glad, because it was killing me to know she was getting married and I was missing it. So we started talking again, and I thankfully got the chance to watch her and Gavin get married. It was amazing, it was an awesome party, and I'm super glad I was there.

I've recently sent out the invited for the Christmas Dinner. Hopefully it goes well. I spent tons of time trying to get it all together every year, so hopefully it'll still be as good, even though it's the first time it'll be at a different location. I'll be doing it on Boxing Day, hopefully. If not, I might move it, but we'll see what people's plans are. I'm hoping we get enough people for Secret Santa this year, but if we don't, then it's not the end of the world. I'm kinda excited to be hosting it at my place this year. I just have to make sure I have enough stuff and I buy decorations and things like that. it'll be good, I know it.

Anyways, I'm off now to look for something to make for dinner. Yeah, I have to make my own dinner. Craziness!! But Matt's on his way, so it'd be nice if I at least had an idea of what I'm gonna make.

Oh, and because I'm me and I can't stick to just one thing, I've started a new blog. Yeah, another one. http://justagirlintoronto.wordpress.com/ It's about living on your own and being in the adult world and working/looking for work and all that. Feel free to read it, or don't. It's up to you.
